ChessInvaders

Chess Invaders is an arcade shooter that merges the strategy of chess with the fast paced action of Space Invaders.

You control an astrounout with free movement across an 8×8 chess board. Enemy pieces (inspired by chess pieces) advance toward you wave by wave, each attacking in their true chess pattern — pawns fire diagonals, rooks send ice waves down columns, bishops strike at angles, knights shoot their shots over obstacles, queens threaten every direction, and the enemy King himself closes in for the final wave.

How to play:

Survive 3 waves of increasingly dangerous enemy formations. Defeated enemy Queens drop fire rate upgrades — collect them to turn the tide. Kill the enemy King to win.

Controls — Keyboard & Mouse:

  - WASD / Arrow keys — move

  - Mouse — aim

  - Left click — shoot

  - Escape — pause

  - Q — skip rest period

Controls — Controller (Xbox / DualShock 4):

  - Left stick — move

  - Right stick — aim

  - RT / R2 — shoot

  - Options / Menu — pause

  - Triangle / Y — skip rest period
